WizKid Terms of Service

This Is a Beta

WizKid is an AI-powered educational tutoring platform in initial beta testing. Features may change, break, or disappear without notice. Nothing here is final.

By creating an account or letting a child use WizKid, you (the parent or legal guardian) agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

Who Can Use It

• Children aged 8–16, set up and supervised by a parent or guardian.
• Parents/guardians must be 18+.
• Australian residents only during beta.
• You must have legal authority to consent on behalf of the child, including for data collection.

What You Get (and Don't Get)

The service is provided as-is. We don't guarantee:

• Uninterrupted access
• Error-free operation
• Accuracy of AI responses
• Specific learning outcomes

AI responses come from Google Gemini. They may contain errors. They are not a substitute for professional teaching, and they are not medical, psychological, or legal advice.

Your Account

You're responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. Set up child access through your parent dashboard using device session activation.

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Acceptable Use

WizKid is for education only. Don't:

• Circumvent or interfere with safety filters
• Generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content
• Share credentials with unauthorised people
• Use bots or automated tools
• Reverse-engineer the AI models or prompts
• Upload anything illegal under Australian law

Your Data

See our Privacy Policy for full details. In short: we collect parent account info, child profiles, chat messages, usage data, and safety alerts.

During beta: authorised WizKid team members may review chat transcripts to improve the service and evaluate safety. Anonymised data may be used for research.

PII Detection

We use automated tools to detect and redact personal information children share in chat. It's not perfect — tell your kids not to share personal details like addresses, phone numbers, or school names.

Who Owns What

WizKid owns the platform. You own your content. By using the beta, you grant us a licence to use anonymised, aggregated versions of your data to improve the service. AI responses are for personal educational use only.

Any feedback you give us during beta can be used freely without compensation.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law (including the Australian Consumer Law):

• Our liability is limited to re-supplying the service.
• We're not liable for: learning outcomes, AI errors, downtime, data loss, or indirect damages.

Nothing here excludes consumer guarantees that can't be excluded under Australian law.

Ending Your Account

You: Delete your account any time via the service or by contacting support. Data removed within 1 day, unless law requires otherwise.

Us: We can end access for terms violations, abuse, or when beta ends. We'll give 14 days' notice before ending the beta, except for urgent safety issues.
